10.) The Code of Honor are simply a bunch of common sense rules that all BC members must abide by:
A. Any member who is glitched must immediately leave any game he or she is playing in at the time.
B. BC Members shall not publicly criticize other BC members for their play in Clan Wars (CW). Any criticism or discussion of a BC Clan Member's play shall be done only within the Clan.
C. BC Members shall not be obnoxious, use racial epithets or slurs, or conduct themselves in a manner that would reflect negatively on BC in our chat box, other clans chat boxes, or in other public forums.
D. Once a BC Member leaves BC, they may not return, unless prior approval is obtained from the BC Clan Leaders.
E. BC Members may only be a member of BC. Dual clan membership is not allowed. If it is discovered you are a member of another clan, your membership in BC shall be terminated immediately.
F. BC Members shall not discuss BC Clan strategy with non-BC persons.
G. Any violations of this Code of Honor shall be subject to punishment by the Leaders of BC, which may include, but is not limited to, a verbal or written warning, temporary suspension of BC privileges, or expulsion from the Clan. The Leaders of BC reserve the right to take any action necessary to protect the honor and integrity of BC, even if the subject action is not addressed in this Code of Honor.
11.) Because we are such a large clan, the DoW thought it was necessary to create a policy that all members would use for clan wars. Understanding this policy should clear up any clan war issues. Read very carefully, so you're sure you know where you stand when it comes to clan wars. Thanks.
The Department of War (DoW) is a voting group of BC members who discuss issues in BC as well as activities with other clans. In the case of choosing members for activities with other clans, including Clan Wars and scrimmages, the "Oraganizing DoW member" has the right to choose who plays. He or she will take many different factors, such as number of players and maps, into account before choosing participants in order to please everyone involved. The Organizing DoW member also has the option of creating a list of who he/she would like to play in that specific war. Once that list is posted, people may reply if they can make it or not. We want to get our most qualified players in where needed as well as include our newer members who we know can learn from the experience. The amount of organized events played in, and the player's commitment also plays a role. This is not a perfect process and DoW recognizes that most members desire to participate in Clan Wars, so the DoW will do its best to ensure that all members have a chance for meaningful participation in clan activities, including Clan Wars.
As members of BC, we are committed to a clan that not only strives for fun and enjoyment, but also for the glory in winning. In order to win, we must generally put forth our most qualified players to represent our clan while allowing our newer members to improve and have fun. In order to pick members for Clan Wars, scrimmages, and intra-clan activities, we look for our most qualified players who show an advanced understanding of the game and our clan's strategies. TeamSpeak is one of the benefits of being a member of BC; it is an extremely effective tool for Clan Wars. It is not required for participation in Clan Wars, however it is highly recommended. Attending practices and other organized events within the clan will help members build a knowledge of the game, build an understanding of Clan War Strategies and their actual implementation, and simulate a competitive atmosphere within the Clan, as well as increase a member’s chance of playing in other organized events including Clan Wars. Participation in Clan Wars is a privilege not to be abused. If a clan member consistently does not show up for events that he/she had committed to participate in, action will be taken by DoW. It is not fair to the other members who are relying on a certain person who does not show up, or miss out on an opportunity to play. The goal is for everyone to enjoy their time in BC, so the DoW will strive to give everyone a fair chance at playing. When signing up for organized events, keep in mind other player's interests and not only your own. Any issues should be brought up with the BC leaders, or the DoW, so BC can continue to be an enjoyable experience for all.
Note: Members looking to gain entrance into clan wars must have read through the clan war strategies
12.) With CoD games come clan wars and competition. Here are some rules to keep in mind.
- After any clan war, BC participants in the war are to say "Good Games" to the opposing clan.
- If any BC participant has a problem with what happened during the war, he is to talk privately to the other clan about the issue. No threads/posts should be made on any forum that could be considered negative or detrimental to BC.
- Do not complain about a loss and do not rub in any win.
- "Win with honor, lose with grace."
Anyone with his eyes open knows that BC has a reputation of complaining after wars. Now, we all know that every single person in BC does not complain, but one incident can place a label on our clan. Let's be labeled as the respectful clan rather than the whiney bastards.
For CoD, I think we need to turn this around. Let's be known as the clan that does not complain about a loss or cause any controversy. Let's be known as the clan that plays fair and wins with sportsmanship, not as the clan that complains not matter what happens.
If someone starts an argument or breaks these rules, then the DoW as a whole will have to come up with some punishment.
Just remembed to win with honor and lose with grace.
